4th Supportive Event

Tuesday, 30th of January 2018

One year later, CEIP Punta de n'Amer is preparing everything for the 4th Supportive Event in Sa Coma. So, our students have started thinking, looking for some ideas and creating their own contribution. They are going support this event with magnets & badges based on their own pictures.

Our first year 2014 - 2015, we explained the story of Sadako Sasaki; all together made more than 1000 peace cranes in one week. We sent them all around the world. We also recorded a video singing ' Peace is Our Right ' Song. That was a very emotive day for all of us.

2015 - 2016, 5th Grade & 6th Grade recorded a video explaining the origin of the Naboof Marina and they one a video contest. They got first position among different schools in the Balearic Islands. They went to Palma to receive their certificate. Students from all the school made DIY bracelets and we sent them. All the money we collected went to Manacor's Hospital where all students can find on the ceiling of the corridors their own star, clouds, suns, ... Doctors and Nurses decorated them with stickers.

2016 - 2017, 6th grade edit some posters explaining the latest project: Smiley Locks. Those who wanted could cut their hair, 20 cm and donate it to Mechones Solidarios, Málaga. They make oncological wigs to those people who want a different complement to bear the cancer effects on their body. We also sold Smiley Locks Bracelets. All that money went to Mechones Solidarios to support the expense may mean the payment of an oncological wig.

2017 - 2018, students from 3rd Grade till 6th Grade have been drawing and colouring different logos and mottos where cancer and blood donation are there. This year, we are going to donate blood as the petrol of our body. We need it to get warm, to keep infections away and to able our main organs to keep themselves alive, such as lungs, heart or brain. So, this year those who want or can donate blood are invited to our school; and those who cannot or do not want, they have the possibility of helping by donating money or buying a badget or a magnet. Once more, this activity is not compulsory but who knows, maybe one day we need help and we would like someone to think and remember us!
